SB 311 Veto Over-Ride CALL TO ACTION:
Last Thursday, NOV. 19, 2020, Ohio Senate Bill 311 passed the House, with a majority of 58 to 30. There were 3 excused absence “YES” votes that would bring it over the 60 votes needed for a veto over-ride.
A Confirmation email was sent out from the Ohio Senate clerks office on Friday, saying that SB 311 was in fact “delivered to the Governor for his consideration”. At that point the governor has 10 days to Veto it, which he has already stated he will do.
Before an SB 311 VETO over-ride vote can happen, a vote on it must be called to the floor by BOTH Senate President Obhof and House Speaker Cupp.
What can YOU do to make sure a VETO over-ride happens?
1.) To the Representative and Senators that voted “YES” on this bill, please send them a Thank You email or voicemail to let them know you need their CONTINUED SUPPORT when the bill comes back to the General Assembly for a veto override. 'Yes voters' lists are below.
2.) Three of our known “Yes” vote Representatives had “excused“ emergency absences for various health/family emergency reasons.
Please email or call their office and let them know you are looking forward to seeing their “YES” vote given during the Veto Over-ride Vote.

District 62, Rep. Scott Lipps, (R)
(614) 644-6023,
3.) Call and E-mail Speaker Cupp and Senate a President Obhof EVERY day for the next 5 days that we await DeWine’s expected VETO. Tell house and senate leadership you are glad they see the importance of reigning in our out-of-control Governor and restoring the balance of power to our state government. Ask them to “Please bring the SB 311 Veto Over-Ride vote to the floor as soon as DeWine Vetoes it. Ohioans and their businesses are being crushed under the tyrannical shut down orders and we need leadership to move quickly in the best interest of the people. Please protect the citizens you took an oath to serve, by bringing SB 311 to a Veto over-ride vote!”

-
Senate President Obhof

EVERYONE PLEASE PARTICIPATE!
Let’s have our reps and senators return from Thanksgiving break to inboxes and voicemails FULL of SUPPORT for an SB 311 VETO OVER-RIDE!

STOP GOVERNOR DEWINE AND HEALTH DIRECTOR STEPHANIE McCLOUD
March 9th is the day Governor Dewine slowly began to take away our rights when he declared a State of Emergency. Later he went on to take our rights one by one.
-
March 13th - Limited Mass Gatherings to 100 People
-
March 13th - Closed All K-12 Schools in Ohio
-
March 15th - Limited Jail Visitation
-
March 15th - Made Restaurants Carry-out Only
(For current orders issued by the governor visit website and the health department visit Ohio Department of Health
On March 16th Governor Dewine announced that a group of voters had filed a lawsuit against the State of Ohio to postpone the Ohio Primary. He instructed the Ohio Attorney General to not fight the lawsuit. Judge Richard Frye ruled against the voters and said that it's up to the legislature to postpone the primary. Amanda Grandjean, Secretary of State Frank LaRose’s elections director, sent an email incorrectly stating that Judge Frye ruled in favor of canceling in-person voting. LaRose, himself stated that he nor Governor DeWine had the authority to cancel the election. Later that night after the judge told the State they can't postpone the primary he ordered Dr. Amy Acton to shut down the polls with an Executive Order. Governor DeWine illegally shut down the polls because the Ohio Constitution says " The general assembly shall determine, by law, before what authority, and in what manner, the trial of contested elections shall be conducted". It didn't stop there after gatherings, schools, and restaurants Governor DeWine issued the following orders.
-
March 17th - Canceled Non-essential surgery
-
March 20th - Cease Business Operation at Hair Salons, Day Spas, Nail Salons
-
March 21st - Close Facilities Providing Older Adult Day Care Services and Senior Centers
-
March 21st - Close entertainment businesses
After Governor Dewine shut down almost every business in the State of Ohio on March 22nd he issued a Stay-at-Home order. The order means that you are not allowed to leave your home unless you are doing government-approved activities furthermore limiting our freedoms. When will we stop letting the government from taking away our freedoms?
WE MUST RECLAIM OUR RIGHTS AS CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES AND OHIO!

DESERVE NEITHER"
